Quadruple Pull Succeeds
Sometimes during a raid you mess up and pull some extra mobs along with the boss. Usually this is a wipe. Not today.

Malygos + Naxx
Hat kicks off 25-man raiding by clearing Naxx and Malygos. It was the right move to tune the intro raids to be a little forgiving after the mistakes of TBC, but hopefully Blizzard will follow through and release Uludar soon, so we'll have something challening to work on again. In the mean time we've got Sarth + Drakes, and Season 5 to keep us busy. Easy raids aside, the expansion is very well done and lots of fun. Ignoring the "UI BOSS" elements, Malygos is a really cool encounter.

Wrath is Here
The new zone is very well done, although the difficulty of some of the fights is a little inconsistent. We'll have some 25-man updates soon.
Recruitment is OPEN again so check out the recruitment area for class needs and application guidelines
Glad one of our members could represent one of the few shoe-wearing Horde races in the race to 80.

All Alliance Leaders Killed Pre-WotLK
In a big double raid (80 players), we took down all of the alliance faction leaders through a joint effort with Limbo and a number of other horde guilds. The bosses are L83, so even with 80 people the fights can take 20-30 min. The very next day we did it again, so we have a lot of black warbears running around now.

The Big Boy Bites it
It was a race against the clock with 3.0 approaching and we almost did it, a mere four weeks after our Muru kill. Ultimately, we did fall a bit short, with our best pre 3.0 attempt a heartbreaker 11% wipe the day before the patch. Nonethless it was a great effort and a great fight to close out the most challenging and excellently tuned raid instance ever. The 3.0 version is a total joke, along with the rest of the zone and we killed him on our first pull. I'm glad we got to learn the original form, and the new Diet Sunwell will be a nice break as we take it easy as the expansion looms.

M'uru Massacred / Entropius Evaporated
So much hard work on this guy finally pays off. This boss is unlike anything else in the game. After the longest six minutes ever fighting some pissed off badge loot vendor slash bug zapper and his friends, you have to deal with this angry beast, which I hear is available to all warlocks in 3.0:
After more learning attempts than any boss I have ever fought with the possible exception of Valeastrasz in BWL, a much relieved raid finished him off, so its on to the waste-wallower:
Emerging from the maw of Sunwell's communal toilet, its the Last Boss of the Hardest Instance Ever.

Twins Down
Ledge boss defeated, on to M'uru.

Felmyst Down
She took a lot of attempts and a lot of hard work. These fights are a far cry from T6, and they make for very rewarding kills. On to the twins.

Brutallus Stomped
Great encounter; I've never seen a fight where every second really counts. It pushed our DPS and healers to the limit. I would compare it to Patchwerk, but the only time I did that guy was with fifteen 70s.

Kalecgos Freed
The first Sunwell boss is down after a lot of hard work. We went through a lot of strategy tweaks to arrive at something that worked for us. Brutallus looks intense, but at least the strategy is strightforward and we won't have to worry about PORTALS NOT APPEARING. Sunwell can be alternatingly fun and frustrating, but its definitely a cool zone, and its very rewarding when a boss finally falls over, or in this case flies away.

Illidan Down + Sunwell Healer Recruitment
Game beaten, Black Temple cleared. Our guild has been through a lot of changes during the last few months; of the raiders in our Illidan raid, only half were in the guild when we first kill Kael'thas at the end of Tier 5. Despite this, our current raiding core is one of the most cohesive, amicable groups I've had to the pleasure to raid with in "six tiers" since Molten Core. Its only been two short months since we attuned our new members for T6 and got our first kill of Kaz'rogal in Hyjal, and we've been on a roll. We've got a great raiding team, and I'm looking forward to the Sunwell.
Also, recruitment is open for Healers
Hat is looking for a few extra healers to round out our raiding squad for Sunwell. All healing classes will be considered. Tier 6 Attunement is required, as well as 90% attendance for a 4-day/week raiding schedule, Sun-Wed 7-11PM EST. Find more details on the recruitment page.

Illidari Council Down
Fun fight, intense on healing. Definitely brings back the 'dancing on eggshells' feel of the Twin Emps. With this quartet fitted for hats, its on to the man in charge...

Run Like Hell
"If they catch you in the backseat trying to pick her locks / they're going to send you back to mother in a cardboard box"
Took four total attempts to kill her. Special thanks to our Heart of Darkness benefactors. Only two more bosses to go.
With 2.4 on the test realm, the heat is on to get Illidan down before the Sunwell is released. I haven't 'beaten the game' since our Nefarian kill with SF, and that felt pretty good, so I'm looking forward to a cleared BT.
Recruitment is re-opened
(1) Face Melting Shadow Priest
(1) Face-rolling-chain-heal Resto Shaman
Hyjal attunement required, 90%+ attendance required, pants optional. Get your ticket for some Sunwell cool.
Check out the recruitment forum for details and application instructions.

The Three Faced Stone Boss
After another shortened raiding week due to the Super Bowl, we downed the Reliquary of Souls, or the Essence of Souls, or Essence of Anger, or as I called it "Ross the Boss". Time to wrastle us up some Hearts.

Gurtogg Bloodboil
Well this guy took more attempts than Gorefiend, but thats not saying much. The magic number for Hat, 5 total attempts, took this guy down. We lost a raiding day on Sunday due to instance server downtime, otherwise we probably would have kept our three week streak of two new bosses per week. With the servers back up on Monday, we started working on Reliquary of Souls, and got it to Phase 3 / 40%, so look for three hats on that thing soon.

Archimonde and Teron Gorefiend
Two new bosses last week, two new bosses this week. After some hard work on Archimonde, we got him down. Despite some random shenanigans like Aran-stye circular doomfire flame wreaths of burning death, I really enjoyed this fight. It was a fitting endboss for a unique zone (although I remember the WC3 map being a bit less intense). I'm really happy with our raid group right now including so many new members.
After Archi, we decided to get our first attempts at one of the supposedly 'harder' BT bosses, and our server's namesake, Teron Gorefiend. He died in three pulls, under the knife of some insane raid DPS. The fight is a joke; I'm gonna transfer to the Archimonde server. On an ironic note, still no BT/Hyjal tank loot, but our two MTs have Catacylsm's Edge and Soul Cleaver now (pictured at the bottom).

Kaz'rogal and Azgalor
Hat is back in action with two fresh Hyjal kills after another recruitment/rebuildng break. We had a bit of a tank shakeup around Thanksgiving that left us looking to replace every raiding warrior and feral druid in Hat (along with some other classes). After a little over a month of heavy recruitment and re-keying in T5 content, we are back on the scene. Our new members have risen to the challenge and are now an integral part of the Hat team.
After spending about a week getting up to speed on our previous T6 kills in Hyjal and BT, we moved on to new challenges. Once his trash was cleared, Kaz'rogal put a hat on after exactly one attempt. Next up was Azgalor, who took his place on the ground on the fifth try. Available strategies and videos make these fights pretty simple to learn and execute.

Four Down in Two Raids
After a short break from T6 raiding to attend the wedding of one of our members in Paris, France, we got back into the swing of raiding in typical Team-Awesome style with four first-kills in two days. Anetheron died on the first pull of the day and High Warlord Naj'entus was laying in a pile of BT sewage shortly thereafter. On our next raid, we pushed into BT to kill Supremus and then wiped by repeatedly double-pulling Shade's "arena team" trash more times than we did to him.
Good job to our veteran raiders and our new members alike. I hear BT steps up in difficulty now, so I'm looking forward to the more challenging fights, although we're probably going to spend some time wrapping up Hyjal now.

Kael'thas Down
Great to have this guy down after lots of hard work.
Also, we zoned into Hyjal with 23 people and oneshotted Rage Winterchill on our first attempt ever. Thanks Bosskillers!

Solarian Down
I was expecting the WARLOCK boss to take more than five pulls to learn and kill. But everyone knows 5 is the magic number for Hat. 55555
We did our first day of attempts against Kael'thas, which is a pretty awesome encounter. We made some good progress on a fight that requires a lot of progress to beat, so next week we hope to fine tune P2 and P3 and push towards the home stretch.

Big Bird bites it. A fun, easy encounter.

Hat's New Website and SSC Progress
Leo and Morogrim hit the dirt this week, so we're on to Vashj.
Enjoy the new website. I noticed that parts of it look crappy in IE, so if that bothers you, get Firefox.

Hydross Down
None of us had fought this guy before, and five pulls later we hung our hat on him.
